Monarch Chosen for Cobargo Rebuild

1 May 2024

We are pleased to announce that Monarch has been engaged to construct the Cobargo main street rebuild.

Following the completion of the underground power work by Essential Energy, and continuing from pre-construction activities, we anticipate commencing the main construction work in mid to late May.

The Rebuild Cobargo project is being funded by the Australian and NSW governments under the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund.

Designed by Dunn Hillam Architects, the project will create three new buildings: a Village Square, Market Hall and Post Office, as well as associated car parking and landscaped areas. This rebuild project will deliver an exciting, accessible, and inclusive town centre with modern amenities and services.

In addition, the two-level buildings will address the community's need for residential accommodation by offering five spacious apartments on the upper levels, including some designed to meet NDIS standards.

Monarch is keen to get started on this project for the community and is committed to identifying and utilising local trades people where possible.
