Monarch was engaged to refurbish and extend the existing End of Trip facilities in the basement of 1 National Circuit, Barton.

The first stage involved the demolition of existing ceilings, partitions, all fixtures/ fittings, and floor and wall finishes.

The construction works included additional showers, all new floor and wall tiling, stone vanities, lockers, ironing facilities, and stone bench seating.

A key feature of the project was the major design change to create an exposed ceiling by removing the existing low level gyprock ceiling. This also required improvements to the air conditioning ducts and installation of feature light fittings.

The building remained fully operational during the build process, which added extra build methodology challenges and staging for the project team.
