The Roo’s Brewery Bar is a new semi-enclosed brewery and external beer garden constructed on the western end of the Queanbeyan Roo’s clubhouse.

The project involved demolishing the existing auditorium and outdoor deck before constructing an extension featuring a cranked roof framed by glazed windows that both maximises the building height and welcomes light into the space.

The scope of work also included the addition of a new bar, function room, keg room, cellar door function room, a poker room, bathrooms, as well as the installation of a full commercial kitchen and storage cool rooms.

The design specified a variety of floor finishes, wall treatments, joinery, acoustic elements, plants, specialist lighting and loose furniture to deliver an aesthetic suitable for the Brewbar but also complimented the recent renovations completed for the club.
