Monarch Building Solutions delivered several packages of upgrade and refurbishment works across three buildings at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA).

The scope of works included replacement of external aluminium louvres, installation of operable walls, bathroom refurbishments, replacement of exhaust fans, air handling unit maintenance works, installation of emergency and exit signage, replacement of light fittings, floor covering replacement works, and internal and external painting.

This project involved a variety of materials and detailed finishes that required a broad range of skills and expertise to successfully deliver each component.

A key component of this project was the brass handrail and balustrade compliance works that required high quality workmanship to deliver a custom made, curved, near mirror finish brass handrail that aligned with the original design intent of the building.

As the Monarch team were required to work in and around these occupied buildings, careful planning and consideration ensured the building remained operational throughout each stage of the refurbishment works, with minimal disruption to facility operations, the building tenants, and ADFA personnel.
